NOTICE: Given all the turmoil in our city right now, we need to reschedule the Jan. 29 Neighborhood Safety Meeting. We will update you as soon as a new date is scheduled.
The Kenwood, Lowry Hill, East Isles and Cedar-Isles-Dean Neighborhood Associations are co-hosting their 3rd annual Public Safety Meeting. The objective of the meeting is to hear updates from the City and MPD on improvements in safety in our neighborhoods and area.
Police Chief O'Hara will speak along with our newly elected council person, Elizabeth Shaffer. Lieutenant O'Rourke will address the Juvenile Crime Task Force which recently received an award at the International Chiefs of Police Association and has become a model for the nation. Representatives from the 5th Precinct, the Metro Transit and Park Board Police will be on the agenda as well. Mayor Frey is invited and we are awaiting his response. There will be time for questions at the end of the meeting.
We will livestream the meeting on Kenwood's YouTube channel, and will record it for later viewing.
