If you make it to one Uptown event this spring, make it this one! This Saturday, May 23, Uptown United is partnering with Moona Moono for a Summer Kickoff celebration at 31st & Hennepin. It’s shaping up to be one of the buzziest community gatherings of the spring.

If you haven’t been to Moona Moono yet, it has quickly become one of the most popular new businesses in Uptown since opening last year. They’ve brought incredible creativity, energy, and positivity to the neighborhood.

Ann Kim of Pizzeria Lola will be serving free Uptown Dogs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last. There will also be free frozen treats, crafts for kids, cartoon portraits, music, and more. Other Uptown businesses will also be hosting special events, pop-ups, and can’t-miss experiences throughout the day.

Show up, invite your friends, and enjoy what’s shaping up to be a really fun Saturday morning in Uptown.

Also, our next Uptown United movie matinee is coming up next Wednesday, May 20 at 4:25 p.m. at the Lagoon Theater. We’ll be seeing “Begin Again,” starring Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley. It’s a charming, music-filled, feel-good film and one of Ruffalo’s best performances. Perfect weekday afternoon movie.
