Rebel Loon of MN Keep on Shining

  • Celtic Junction Arts Center 836 Prior Avenue North Saint Paul, MN, 55104 (map)

From Celtic Junction Arts Center:

This mutual aid concert is your chance to come together with some of the Twin Cities’ best bluegrass and country musicians—and help raise money for immigrant neighbors still struggling in the aftermath of recent events:

The heartbreak we feel during this time in our state’s history is immense and will be lasting. And, as lovers of bluegrass and country music, we don’t shy away from heartbreak. We’re inspired by ordinary Minnesotans coming together in a million creative ways to speak up for peace, justice, and the rule of law. To sing, laugh, cry, show we care, and offer tangible support to those in need.

Many of our immigrant neighbors are facing eviction, and we want to make sure they’re housed and cared for until they can get back on their feet. All proceeds from this event will go to the Indigenous Roots’ MniSota Community Action Network and Zion Community Commons/Open Market MN.

You’ll want to bring cash to spend in the lobby at our community-led resistance art marketplace where you’ll find upcycled screen printed clothes, posters, stickers, buttons, and more! There will be a food truck, as well as beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages available.

Youth 18 years and under receive free admission at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you can’t afford a ticket, reach out to Ivy at ivyandbean@proton.me and we’ll make sure you can join us.
